The sound is inspired by bands like Mastodon, Gojira, and Tool, and has beendescribed as brutal yet uplifting, faintly familiar, and existential. The band was founded in 2022 by bassist Mike Mendenhall and guitarist Ryan Williams with the dream to create and share heavy music that means different things to different people in cerebral ways. Drummer Danny Greco and vocalist Vlad Volovikov joined the band the following year.
